Responses are due by 4:00 PM, May 16, 2019
The city of Lake Stevens is soliciting a Request for Proposal and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for professional design and engineering services to develop a Master Trails Plan.
Download from: http://www.lakestevenswa.gov/Bids.aspx?bidID=62
Preliminary Scope of Services: The city of Lake Stevens is seeking professional design and engineering services from a qualified firm or team to develop a citywide Master Trails Plan. The firm or team will need to consider the current needs assessment as it develops its plan. A primary project goal is to develop an alignment and acquisition strategy for a trail corridor under the powerlines in western Lake Stevens. Other elements of the plan must include suggested connections to existing trails within Lake Stevens and surrounding jurisdictions’ trails, phasing and acquisition strategies, proposed amenity locations (restroom, parking, lighting, trash receptacles, benches, trailheads and mini-parks), cost estimates per linear foot, cross sections of different trail types, etc. The plan should identify interpretive and wayfinding signs opportunities consistent with the city’s beautification plan. The firm or team would be required to facilitate two (2) public engagement sessions. The firm or team will also need to coordinate with public utilities to identify allowed uses under powerlines and in other utility easements.
Questions should be submitted to Jill Meis at jmeis@lakestevenswa.gov. Replies will be sent via email to all firms or groups that submitt an RFP.
Responses are to be addressed as follows: Jill Meis, Parks Planning and Development Coordinator, City of Lake Stevens, PO Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258, jmeis@lakestevenswa.gov
