Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by Whatcom County Purchasing at its Office in the Administrative Services Finance Department located on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for the following:

Until: 2:30 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018
At which time and place the responses will be publicly opened, and the names of the submitters identified. All interested people are invited to be present. Late submittals will not be accepted. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities.
Whatcom County is requesting proposals from consultants to provide professional planning services to assist Whatcom County in developing the new Buildable Lands Program. RFQ – Architectural Services for Administration Bldg & Locker Room Expansion
Submittal Date: October 23, 2018 – 4:00 pm
The City of Mount Vernon is accepting Statement of Qualifications from firms to assist the City with architectural/engineering building design, bid, and construction services. Firms wishing to be considered are requested to send one copy (maximum 15 pages) of their Statement of Qualifications to the City of Mount Vernon Wastewater Utility, 1401 Britt Road, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 by 4:00 on October 23, 2018. The Statement of Qualifications should include resumes of project team members as well as related firm experience. Recent relevant project experience (within the last five years) is most important.
The City intends to build a 1,600 SF addition to the Wastewater Utility Administration Building and Locker Room.
The entire project budget is estimated at $650,000.
Architectural / engineering design services are needed beginning January 1, 2019, to develop plans and a construction cost estimate in order to proceed with building construction in 2020.
Disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms are encouraged to respond and will be given maximum practical opportunity to participate.
