Upcoming Project: Best Road: Rudene Road to Summers Drive Project

Project Description: The District is proposing to install approximately 11,660 linear feet (LF) of waterline. Along Best Road, between Rudene Road and Summers Drive, approximately 8,600 LF of existing 3, 4, and 6-inch waterline will be replaced with 12-inch ductile iron water main and approximately 1,960 LF of new 12-inch ductile iron water main will be installed.

On Summers Drive between Best Road and Rexville-Grange Road, approximately 1,100 LF of existing 4-inch cast iron and PVC will be replaced with 8-inch ductile iron waterline.

Fire hydrants and other water system appurtenances will be installed as required by final engineering.

Five (5) 4-ft3 vaults will be installed, typically underground. Existing water service connections will be renewed along the Project route.

Project construction is anticipated to occur in the late spring / early summer 2018.

Project Location: The proposed Project is located on Best Road, from Rudene Road to Summers Drive and on Summers Drive from Best Road to Rexville-Grange Road. The project is in unincorporated Skagit County within Section 33, Township 34 North, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridian; Sections 4 and 9, Township 33 North, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridian.
